i hit the "progress plot button"
i want to follow up on this prior post (link) and say that i eventually managed to get all of kiryu's major side content done and hit the "make the story happen again" prompt. i was suddenly remembering why i love yakuza so much. i'm on the run from mob goons, i'm fighting a man on a motorcycle in the sewers, i find a secret sewer disco, and i have a heartbreaking conversation with my sworn adopted brother.
at some point i realized in all this that i had, before even the halfway point of the story, completed 90% of kiryu's major side content. that is a terrible way to pace side content in a video game! and they should know that! yakuza 4 and 5 did this better!!! like literally you stop getting substories between chapter 10 and the final chapter (16) of this game! that's bad! anyway i'm now currently in the middle of doing the same thing with majima. bye!~
